2nd - 3rd Grade
Thoughtful Explorers!
Welcome to a class where curiosity is the compass and discovery is the destination!

In this 2nd/3rd Grade combo class, students set off on hands-on adventures that blend global awareness with scientific investigation. Whether they're exploring cultural traditions from around the world or launching exciting experiments, students are encouraged to ask big questions, think critically, and make connections between people, places, and the world around them.

Each week begins with a question or real-world mystery that sparks interest, like "How do people celebrate around the world?" or "What causes things to fizz, bubble, and react?". From there, students explore through stories, songs, crafts, food, science tools, and collaborative activities.

Our approach combines play-based learning, guided instruction, and joyful experimentation. Through these rich, thematic experiences, students build not only foundational academic skills, but also the confidence and curiosity of thoughtful global citizens and emerging young scientists.

If you're looking for a class that encourages your child to explore with heart and think with wonder, this is it!

Joy of Nations AND Science Sparks

Get ready for a journey that’s out of this world—and around the world!
In this one of a kind class, students will travel the globe through the lens of culture, creativity, and curiosity. From exploring the traditions, foods, and festivals of faraway places in Joy of Nations to diving into slime, sparks, and surprising reactions in Science Sparks, each day is packed with hands-on discoveries.

We’ll blend social studies, geography, and science in playful, project-based lessons that celebrate how people live, learn, and experiment all over the world. Expect music, maps, forces, and maybe a few messy eruptions too!
Culinary arts are also integrated into our explorations. As we learn about different cultures, we’ll cook and sample traditional dishes that bring the tastes of each region to life.

Whether we’re mixing up chemical reactions or cooking up culinary treats from another continent, students will explore with open minds, curious hearts, and a healthy dose of scientific wonder!
