Math Builders & ARTventure
Where Numbers Come to Life!

Get ready to build, create, play and make math matter! In Math Builders, students will discover that math isn’t just something you do on paper. Math is all around us, helping us solve problems, make things, and bring ideas to life.

Math Builders

Where math comes to life through building and design.

In Math Builders, students experience math as something they can see, touch, and create.
Through hands-on challenges and real-world problem-solving, students explore mathematical concepts by building, designing, and testing their ideas in meaningful ways.

Each class invites students into engaging projects such as marble runs, bridge-building challenges, mini business creations, map design, and interactive board games. As they plan, measure, estimate, and refine their work, math becomes a natural and essential part of the process.

Rather than abstract worksheets, math is woven into authentic experiences that require critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance. Students develop a deeper understanding of numbers, operations, geometry, and spatial reasoning while building confidence and collaboration skills.

Math Builders transforms math into an active, hands-on experience,
where learning is not just understood, but built.

ARTventure

Where creativity leads the way.

ARTventure is a process-based art class where exploration, curiosity, and creativity take center stage. Rather than focusing on a final product, students are invited to experiment freely with a wide variety of materials, textures, and techniques, discovering what happens when they follow their ideas and instincts.
Each class offers open-ended invitations to create using paint, clay, natural materials, loose parts, and mixed media. Students might explore color mixing through expressive painting, build with found objects, sculpt with their hands, or create layered works that evolve over time. There is no “right” way, only the joy of making, testing, and discovering.
ARTventure honors the creative process as a meaningful form of thinking and expression. As children create, they develop fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in their own ideas. They learn to take risks, make choices, and see themselves as capable artists.

ARTventure is a space where imagination is valued, creativity is nurtured, and every child’s unique expression is celebrated.

Mixed-Age Class Structure
At The Learning Grove, our classes are intentionally designed for mixed-age groups, typically Kindergarten through 5th Grade. 6th graders may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, especially if enrolling with a sibling in the same class.
This model encourages leadership, collaboration, and community. Older students mentor and model, while younger students learn by example, building empathy, confidence, and teamwork.

To support every child’s growth, our day includes age-based breakout sessions for developmentally appropriate instruction. This thoughtful structure ensures that all students are engaged, challenged, and inspired.
Is Your Child Ready To Participate In Our Program?

At The Learning Grove, we’re all about joyful learning, curiosity, and connection! To help your child get the most out of their experience, we ask that families take a moment to review the following readiness guidelines. We understand that some days are smoother than others (for little ones and big ones), but in general, students should be able to:

-
Be fully potty trained (including knowing when to go and managing toileting needs independently)
-
Wash hands and dress themselves with basic independence
-
Say goodbye to their grown-up and join in the fun
-
Show interest and willingness to participate in activities
-
Let us know if they need help or have a concern
-
Move from one activity to another with minimal support, even when things shift a little
-
Take part in group activities without needing constant one-on-one attention
-
Stay with the group and play safely without wandering off
-
Use the restroom, wash hands, and get dressed with independence
-
Work through challenges without using physical or hurtful language
We’re here to support each child’s growth with care and compassion and these guidelines help create a safe and positive space for everyone to learn and thrive together!
