Real-World Math & Innovation
Where Numbers Come to Life!
Get ready to build, create, play and make math matter! In Real-World Math, students will discover that math isn’t just something you do on paper. it’s all around us, helping us solve problems, make things, and bring ideas to life.

Math Makers
Each class is packed with hands-on activities, games, and playful challenges designed to build foundational math skills like counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, shapes, patterns, and measurement. Whether we’re measuring ingredients for a recipe,
building geometric structures, or playing fast-paced math games, students will be learning while having a blast!

Junior Entrepreneurs
Step into the world of hands-on, real-world math! In Junior Entrepreneurs, students explore numbers through project-based learning that connects math to everyday life. Kids will design, build, and create their own products. They will learn measurement, budgeting, and problem-solving along the way. Each project challenges them to apply math concepts in meaningful ways, culminating in a Makers Market at the end of the semester, where students showcase and sell their creations. Through these hands-on experiences, they strengthen critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork while discovering that math is both practical and fun!

Our day is intentionally designed in two parts, with each class building on and enhancing the other. This structure allows students to dive deeply into a topic from multiple angles.
It promotes deep thinking, creating, experimenting, and exploring in ways that
feel natural and exciting.

Mixed-Age Class Structure
At The Learning Grove, our classes are intentionally designed for mixed-age groups, typically Kindergarten through 5th Grade. 6th graders may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, especially if enrolling with a sibling in the same class.
This model encourages leadership, collaboration, and community. Older students mentor and model, while younger students learn by example, building empathy, confidence, and teamwork.

To support every child’s growth, our day includes age-based breakout sessions for developmentally appropriate instruction. This thoughtful structure ensures that all students are engaged, challenged, and inspired.
Is Your Child Ready To Participate In Our Program?

At The Learning Grove, we’re all about joyful learning, curiosity, and connection! To help your child get the most out of their experience, we ask that families take a moment to review the following readiness guidelines. We understand that some days are smoother than others (for little ones and big ones), but in general, students should be able to:

-
Be fully potty trained (including knowing when to go and managing toileting needs independently)
-
Wash hands and dress themselves with basic independence
-
Say goodbye to their grown-up and join in the fun
-
Show interest and willingness to participate in activities
-
Let us know if they need help or have a concern
-
Move from one activity to another with minimal support, even when things shift a little
-
Take part in group activities without needing constant one-on-one attention
-
Stay with the group and play safely without wandering off
-
Use the restroom, wash hands, and get dressed with independence
-
Work through challenges without using physical or hurtful language
We’re here to support each child’s growth with care and compassion and these guidelines help create a safe and positive space for everyone to learn and thrive together!
