In this creative space, students dive into poetry, fiction, humor, and more while learning to play with words, build characters, and express big ideas. Through mini-lessons, guided writing time, and supportive sharing circles, writers gain confidence and skill while discovering the joy of writing. From pirates to poetry, fantasy to mystery, there’s no limit to the worlds they can create!
Story Crafters Studio:
From pen to production!
Writers become filmmakers, podcasters, and creative storytellers as they bring their words to life! In Story Crafters Studio, students learn the art of visual and digital storytelling. From storyboarding and scriptwriting to acting, directing, and recording. Whether creating short films, video book trailers, or audio stories, this class celebrates collaboration, imagination, and the power of sharing your story with the world.

Our day is intentionally designed in two parts, with each class building on and enhancing the other. This structure allows students to dive deeply into a topic from multiple angles. It promotes deep thinking, creating, experimenting, and exploring in ways that feel natural and exciting.

Mixed-Age Class Structure
At The Learning Grove, our classes are intentionally designed for mixed-age groups, typically Kindergarten through 5th Grade. 6th graders may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, especially if enrolling with a sibling in the same class.
This model encourages leadership, collaboration, and community. Older students mentor and model, while younger students learn by example, building empathy, confidence, and teamwork.

To support every child’s growth, our day includes age-based breakout sessions for developmentally appropriate instruction. This thoughtful structure ensures that all students are engaged, challenged, and inspired.
Is Your Child Ready To Participate In Our Program?

At The Learning Grove, we’re all about joyful learning, curiosity, and connection! To help your child get the most out of their experience, we ask that families take a moment to review the following readiness guidelines. We understand that some days are smoother than others (for little ones and big ones), but in general, students should be able to:

-
Be fully potty trained (including knowing when to go and managing toileting needs independently)
-
Wash hands and dress themselves with basic independence
-
Say goodbye to their grown-up and join in the fun
-
Show interest and willingness to participate in activities
-
Let us know if they need help or have a concern
-
Move from one activity to another with minimal support, even when things shift a little
-
Take part in group activities without needing constant one-on-one attention
-
Stay with the group and play safely without wandering off
-
Use the restroom, wash hands, and get dressed with independence
-
Work through challenges without using physical or hurtful language
We’re here to support each child’s growth with care and compassion and these guidelines help create a safe and positive space for everyone to learn and thrive together!
