Manners in Motion
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
The purpose of Manners in Motion is to equip students with the confidence, kindness, and grace they need to navigate social situations with ease. Through interactive activities, hands-on practice, and real-world etiquette skills, students will learn not only how to feel comfortable and capable when engaging with others, but also how to positively impact the people and environments around them. Our ultimate goal is for each student to leave the course ready to share kindness, show respect, and carry themselves with poise in any setting. (Also to have FUN!)
Some skills and topics covered:
• First impressions, kindness, and confidence
• Active Listening, conversation, and respectful disagreement
• Introductions, hosting, and public manners
• Thank-you notes and expressing gratitude
• Table setting and dining etiquette
• Empathy and respect for differences
• Giving and receiving compliments
• Formal dancing
• Final celebration to demonstrate their skills in a real-world setting
The session concludes with a special Etiquette Luncheon, planned and hosted by the students, for residents at a local nursing home. They'll get to showcase their new skills and put those manners into motion!

The Quest Lab
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Step into a world of exploration where every week is a new mission!
At The Quest Lab, students become adventurers on a quest to solve challenges, discover new skills, and work together to unlock mysteries from around the world. Each class blends science, creativity, and character development, encouraging kids to think critically, act courageously, and collaborate respectfully.
Through hands-on experiments (it may get messy!), creative design tasks, and team-based quests, students will explore topics like:
• Building and engineering challenges inspired by real-world problems
• Nature and earth science explorations
• Mapmaking, navigation, and survival skills
• Cultural and historical “missions” from around the globe
• Creative art and storytelling that ties each adventure together

More than a class, The Quest Lab is a journey in curiosity, confidence, and cooperation. Students practice communication, teamwork, and leadership while having a blast completing their weekly quests.
Perfect for:
Curious kids who love to explore, build, experiment, and imagine!
Complements etiquette and character classes beautifully by emphasizing real-world teamwork, problem solving, and social awareness in action.

Is Your Child Ready To Participate In Our Program?

At The Learning Grove, we’re all about joyful learning, curiosity, and connection! To help your child get the most out of their experience, we ask that families take a moment to review the following readiness guidelines. We understand that some days are smoother than others (for little ones and big ones), but in general, students should be able to:

-
Be fully potty trained (including knowing when to go and managing toileting needs independently)
-
Wash hands and dress themselves with basic independence
-
Say goodbye to their grown-up and join in the fun
-
Show interest and willingness to participate in activities
-
Let us know if they need help or have a concern
-
Move from one activity to another with minimal support, even when things shift a little
-
Take part in group activities without needing constant one-on-one attention
-
Stay with the group and play safely without wandering off
-
Use the restroom, wash hands, and get dressed with independence
-
Work through challenges without using physical or hurtful language
We’re here to support each child’s growth with care and compassion and these guidelines help create a safe and positive space for everyone to learn and thrive together!
