Science Sparks & ARTventure
Must be at least 5 years old at the start of the semester.
Imagination in Motion: Where Science Meets Art

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind adventure where curiosity explodes and creativity shines! In this dynamic fusion of science and art, students will investigate the wonders of the natural world while expressing their discoveries through bold, hands-on creations.

Each week, young scientists and artists dive into fascinating topics—from atoms and animals to gravity and galaxies—through experiments that fizz, pop, and spark the imagination. Then, they bring those discoveries to life with colorful, expressive art inspired by famous artists, world cultures, and their own brilliant ideas.

In this class, students will:
-
Conduct real scientific investigations with journals, tools, and critical thinking
-
Mix up chemistry, explore ecosystems, and even experience dissections!
-
Experiment with process art, sculpture, painting, and mixed media
-
Gain confidence through creative expression and meaningful collaboration
-
Show off their work in seasonal art shows and a school-wide World Culture Celebration!
It’s the perfect blend of observation and expression—where every explosion inspires a masterpiece, and every brushstroke tells a story of discovery. Whether they’re making slime or splatter art, your child will build confidence, curiosity, and creativity in a space where learning comes to life.

Let the sparks fly and the colors soar! This is where science and art collide in the most magical way!

Mixed-Age Class Structure
At The Learning Grove, our classes are intentionally designed for mixed-age groups, typically Kindergarten through 5th Grade. 6th graders may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, especially if enrolling with a sibling in the same class.
This model encourages leadership, collaboration, and community. Older students mentor and model, while younger students learn by example, building empathy, confidence, and teamwork.

To support every child’s growth, our day includes age-based breakout sessions for developmentally appropriate instruction. This thoughtful structure ensures that all students are engaged, challenged, and inspired.
Is Your Child Ready To Participate In Our Program?

At The Learning Grove, we’re all about joyful learning, curiosity, and connection! To help your child get the most out of their experience, we ask that families take a moment to review the following readiness guidelines. We understand that some days are smoother than others (for little ones and big ones), but in general, students should be able to:

-
Be fully potty trained (including knowing when to go and managing toileting needs independently)
-
Wash hands and dress themselves with basic independence
-
Say goodbye to their grown-up and join in the fun
-
Show interest and willingness to participate in activities
-
Let us know if they need help or have a concern
-
Move from one activity to another with minimal support, even when things shift a little
-
Take part in group activities without needing constant one-on-one attention
-
Stay with the group and play safely without wandering off
-
Use the restroom, wash hands, and get dressed with independence
-
Work through challenges without using physical or hurtful language
We’re here to support each child’s growth with care and compassion and these guidelines help create a safe and positive space for everyone to learn and thrive together!
